You May Think

Endings are tough.  Sometimes I write something I like, but have no ending, and it stresses me out.

What I didn’t know is that I don’t need an ending.  I just need an editor.  Check out this “Editorial Note” from a magazine given to us by a friend:

Editorial Note: You may think this article ends abruptly.  Real stories about life don’t have an “ending” but are part of the process of growth.  The lives that surround you are stories in process.  Accept and embrace them as such.

Man, that editor just laid down the law.  You think the article ends abruptly?  Maybe you should start embracing the lives around you, jerk!

I’m pretty sure that a decent editor, given the same number of words, could have come up with a proper ending.  In any case, I hereby reserve the right to use this “ending” for any and every post on this website.

That's kind of....

Editorial Note: You may think this comment ends abruptly.  Real stories about life don’t have an “ending” but are part of the process of growth, unless someone just up and dies, I guess.  The lives that surround you are stories in process, Jackass.  Accept and embrace them as such.
