They Do, I Write

Time to brag on my family a bit…

My uncle, Clark Griep, is running for mayor of Broomfield, Colorado.  Clark’s one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met, and he’s absolutely indefatigable.  He loves his city (sorry, city/county) so much that I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.

In other family news, last week my brother, Jon Looney, pulled an unconscious kid from the bottom of a swimming pool, administered CPR, and saved the kid’s life.  I don’t know what else to say… I couldn’t be prouder of my little bro right now.

(I suppose I could point out that, no matter Jon’s real-world accomplishments, I can still totally whomp him in Tiger Woods Golf 2003.  With age and experience cometh wisdom, and with wisdom cometh the knowledge that the “caddy” in TW03 is nothing but a usurper whose solitary goal in life is for Player1 to leave every putt three inches short.)

So:  Uncle, mayoral candidate.  Brother, hero.  Me, excellent putter in imaginary worlds.
