About Jason Looney
Requisite Boring Bio For Those Googling Me
My name is Jason Looney and I am a Software Architect by day and lazy
bastard by night. I live in Longmont, CO and work for a Fortune 15
company in Louisville, CO.
I was born in Denver and lived in both Thorton and Aurora
as a child (I attended Arkansas Elementary in Aurora). While I was in
grade school, my father was transferred to Springfield, Missouri. I
attended Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary, John J. Pershing Junior High,
and Glendale High School in Springfield. I played football and other
sports in high school.
My father, Charles V. Looney, passed away the summer before
my senior year in high school, so I started my collegiate career at
what is now called Missouri State University in Springfield. After a
brief stint in Austin, TX, I finished school at the University of
Missouri (in Columbia, MO), earning a bachelor's degree in Computer
Science. My mother, Carole Greip/Looney/Haverland is now married to Tom Haverland and lives in Springfield.
I met my wife, Sarah Templeton (now Looney), shortly after returning to
Missouri from Austin. We married in 1997, moved to Colorado in 2000,
and have the two most amazing children this world has ever known.
Jackson Charles Looney was born December 21, 2002 and Joseph Daniel
Looney was born August 25, 2004. We are as happy as any family can
possibly be -- despite what you might read on my blog.
